What is it?
Capmar Demand is an advanced transport-on-demand system that allows you to offer public transportation services in areas of low passenger flow, where regular bus routes may not viable for different reasons. With Capmar Demand, you can create flexible bus routes with dynamic paths that shorten or extend when necessary.
Users request the service directly at the bus stop with the touch of a button. The system automatically notifies the driver of the service request and calculates the estimated pick up time based on the bus GPS positioning to be displayed on the bus stop, which gives users peace of mind. Capmar Demand can be adapted to work with vehicles that are dedicated exclusively to the service or with regular buses that alter their route path when a service request is issued.
How does it work?
1 · Request
The user requests the service by pressing a button on the bus stop.
2 · Receive
The driver receives a service request on the on-board system installed in the bus.
3 · Confirm
The driver confirms the request. Capmar Cloud determines the estimated pick-up time based on GPS positioning and traffic conditions.
4 · Inform
The bus stop receives the service information and displays the estimated pick-up time so the user knows how long to wait for the bus.
